Hello SINS Backers,
Before we begin, this update marks the end of the 72 hour Early Bird. If you're backer number 414 or lower, you got the free Dark Fables Booster Pack if you end the campaign with a Box Pledge or more. If not, the Booster Pack is avaliable as an add-on. Thank you all for supporting us during these first three days. We are so humbled by your support and dedication in the comments. Thanks for being here!
It’s time for us to give you some insight into one of the new and EXCITING expansions of this season. The co-op expansion Path of Eternals.
This expansion is centered around five different adventure stories, five booklets of 90+ pages, each about an Eternal, the Elders, from the SINS universe. If you’re familiar with games like Arkham Horror and Lord of the Rings LCG, you’ll feel right at home.
Path of Eternals adds an immersive experience, a deep narrative story, to explore the extended universe of SINS through encounters, mechanics and new artworks.
In Path of Eternals, you will have to work together as you explore and fight off Eternals and Minions. You may even need to fight each other. Path of Eternals is a chance to expand on your SINS experience and uncover the narrative work of the extended universe.
How does Path of Eternals play?
Each of the five adventure stories comes in a 90+ page mini-booklet. A story will take you, The Itinerants, on an adventure set in different parts of the realms within the SINS universe. Here you will need to overcome the obstacles and play through battles with different beasts, minions, and of course the Eternal of the story. You will read each encounter, written by our talented Story Developer, Jeppe Jelvin, use your SINS cards to overcome the obstacle that each chapter will reveal, and hopefully, make it to the end of the story.
When playing co-op, the game is played following the standard rules. To progress the story, players need to help each other through attacks, supporting and negating powers. When players successfully engage the story, attacking the protagonist, and other players successfully defends, the amount of power negated is added as progress to the current encounter. But be careful, players don't know each other's powers and weaknesses, and a ferocious attack might kill your teammates. You either win or lose together. No one is left behind.
Path of Eternals is a mind game between players, keeping track of not just your own deck, but everyone in your team. The better you know the outcome of a struggle the better you will progress through the story. The co-op adds interesting choices across the table, as effects you previously spend in your own favour, might just help your team when used to help other players.
Competitive strategies must be set aside, as all players must come together in each of the five adventures from Path of Eternals!

Battle of Emotion and Rationality
Itinerants, various creatures from all realms, make use of rifts, holes in reality as we know it, to travel great distances. They exploit these rifts in search of dominance across the realms, either driven by blind faith or insightful knowledge, aspiring to be greater than their opponents in the circus of life. To many, however, the risk that comes with rift-walking is a small price to pay in the light of whatever their cause may be, be it rooted in personal or collective aspirations. They seek dominance in a drive to learn, evolve, and progress.
Prior to all other religions or beliefs in the realms, there exist two conflicting ways of viewing the world. On the one hand, there are Eternals, who believe in the SINS, fueling their power through that belief, blindingly accepting the danger that comes with doing so. On the other hand, there are Phrenics, who have rejected the SINS, withstanding their promise of power through rationality, combatting spirituality with scientific truth.
Eternals stand high above their followers, their worshippers of sin. They are rulers of faith, zenith believers, strong and powerful creatures, both exploiting and exploited by their sin. Eternals are creatures bordering the fabric of reality, powered by prayers and blind beliefs. Their devoted followers, common creatures of the realms, are gifted with powerful abilities, while their bodies and minds are infested by SINS. Transformed into their essential emotion, these creatures are forever indebted to their sinister hunt.
Phrenics are renowned for their knowledge, their search for information. They are scholars, travelers, documenting the realms to define and describe cultures and creatures.
The Eternals and the Phrenics are two sides of the same coin of elders. Eternals represent faith, hope, and luck. Phrenics represent knowledge, history, and strategy. These are the two opposing ideologies across the realms, knowing or believing. While Phrenics seek to restore and maintain the fabric of reality, Eternals seek to alter, spread or enhance their own existence.
SINS is a powerful companion indeed. If it grew strong enough, it could materialize powers of great use to their host. It could alter reality, spreading and disrupting the natural order. So it was sought out by spirits, beasts, and spectral beings, in their battle for Dominance. Praised in masses, until SINS became religions across the Realms.
Yet, in the dance between creatures and SINS, there can only be one to lead. A creature worshipping SINS might think itself to be powerful, may believe itself to be the decision-maker, the winner in this dark tango. But power can easily become a weakness, as SINS will leave you with only one thing, in the end, complete and utter Despair.
The battle for dominance has begun.
The universe of SINS is full of exciting tales and we hope that you will take part in them. Once again, thank you all so much for your support.
Sincerely Louise, and the rest of the Luudos Team.
