– Sat, Mar 13, 2021 at 12:45:03 PM
Hello backers,
I'm Jacob, and today, we're revealing the two envy minions.
As always, if you like what you see, please share our efforts. We appreciate all the help we can get. Spread the message wide and far! Let us unlock some stretch goals!
Updated LivingRulebook...
Our new Living Rulebook is now updated with all the glorious details on skirmish, tokens, and cubes. Check it out and let us know what you think. Do keep in mind that we will send all print materials to a professional proofreading agency before starting production. But, if you have questions about gameplay explanation or if you wish we would include more detailed explaition, let us know.
Today Zaleria's Swarm is revealed...
Envy is, as we talked about yesterday, a strategy based on the actions of your opponents: the more opponents, the more envy.
Personally, I'm not a big fan of the Envy strategy, but I'm probably a minority in that opinion here at the office, as everyone else seems to love how they destroy each other's plans. I might be more of a solitary player, sticking with my wrath and gluttony combo strategies, optimizing my deck for the most glorious dominance.
If you have been playing the first season of sins, please do share your favorite sinful strategy. I'd love to hear how many Envy players are out there.
Tomorrow, pride will show a teaser, in the form of his minions...
He's almost here. Pride him self. After 14 days of reveals. His entourage has been rolling out the red carpet for two weeks, and it's almost at an end.
Have a wonderful day!
Sincerely Jacob and the rest of Luudos Studio.
Daily Reveal: Envy: "Amedee's Descent"
– Sat, Mar 13, 2021 at 01:46:05 AM
Hello backers,
I'm Louise, and today we're revealing the first Envy Character, Amedes's Descent.
As always, if you like what you see, then please consider sharing our campaign, updates or pictures with your local gaming aficionados. We appreciate all your help.
Envy is an exciting design principle, and the mechanics around every envy card and component is disruption. Either by stealing, swapping, or changing your opponent's strategy.
I love having a bit of envy in my deck-building, when we play SINS, combining them with some wrath for destruction and getting rid of cards during the end-game rush. This makes an interesting game for me, where I'm both in control of my own and my opponent's cards.
Amedes's Descent is a strong character that mostly plays her effects through the actions of others. She is like a parasite, leeching on and stealing her way to victory, throughout the game.
Tomorrow, more envy is coming...
With the next reveal, we're looking at more envy, with the reveal of the envy minions.
Sincerely Louise and the rest of Luudos Studio.
Daily Reveal: Lust: "Ailduin's Conduits"
– Fri, Mar 12, 2021 at 12:09:38 AM
Hello backers,
I'm Jacob, and today we'll continue our chat on Lust from yesterday and their strategy for looking through various decks and cards. Lust is an intriguing design principle, as the game of SINS is partly about the unknown, and learning your deck, while you build it. Lust breaks this challenge, just like other SINS breaks other basic constructs.
If you're excited about these updates, please spread the word on your favorite social media channel. We appriciate every share, post, or comment.
SINS is designed as a carefully balanced framework, but within that framework, each card and each principle strategy has its own way around its inherent limitations. Breaking these routines is the way to victory.
Yesterday we too a look at Ailduin & Ailduan. Today we're looking into Ailduin's Conduits.
Our daily reveal today, has many hands eagerly waiting to grab onto something of knowledge. Their desire for the unknown is equal to their gameplay effects, allowing you to gradually gain more and more information about friendly and enemy cards.
As with all minions, Lust comes in multitudes, and with the Lust Minions, you can quickly move around with the two sculpts, primarily thanks to their many move effects within their starting deck, which can be combined with other starter-cards to spy on your enemies to a great extend. Play your starting set of cards to their advantage, dive into their strategy, unlock their secrets and their desire for dominance.
Find their optimal play, and dominate your enemies.
Tomorrow, the first Envy Character reveals herself...
Tomorrow we'll unravel, unlock, uncover the next character, an Envy character. Envy is another exciting card strategy with a strong focus on enemy cards.
Have a wonderful day, and I hope to see you again tomorrow.
Sincerely Jacob and the rest of Luudos Studio.
Daily Reveal: Lust: "Ailduin's & Ailduan's Dominion" (NSFW)
– Thu, Mar 11, 2021 at 07:07:33 AM
Hello backers,
I'm Jacob, and today, we're revealing not one but two Lust characters. Ailduin's & Ailduan's Dominion, the first Lust characters, added for free.
If you're in a sharing mood, do share our updates or our pictures with your friendly local social-media group. We're grateful for all the comments, shares and help that we can get! Thanks for being here.
Lust comes in all shapes and sizes; the hunt for the desired. In this game, Lust is a passion for cards. Today we're looking at two in the form of Ailduin and Ailduan. These characters will also make their debut in one of the coop campaigns.
Lust, throughout all cards, is a strategy and a design principle that allows the players to look at cards, which are typically hidden or unknown. As we've talked about throughout these updates, SINS is a balance between hoping and gaining speed or knowledge and gaining traction. You will certainly lose if you sway too much in either direction.
The Lust characters add more tactical gameplay, and their cards suddenly have a multitude of options based on where and how you place your character. When Lust is next to enemy characters, they can look at their opponent's deck or, in certain circumstances, their despair pile. These are strong effects if you can get close enough to your enemies. Use your cards wisely and build your deck to support their inherent strategy.
My favorite moments, playing SINS, is when building my deck based on Lust, Gluttony, and Envy. Those are my favorite strategies to mix, and they work well together (relative to how I like to play my deck), giving me knowledge, card recycling, and disruption. While Louise likes to play a combination between Wrath and Greed, giving her lots of cards while destroying her old ones in the process. This is the beauty in SINS, the millions of strategic combinations, how to build your deck based on your learning curve, and what fits your play style. No single strategy is superior to another.
More Lust iscoming tomorrow...
Tomorrow we'll reveal another Lust character, this time Lust minions.
We'll be back tomorrow with a fresh update. See you all soon.
Sincerely Jacob.
Daily Reveal: Sloth: "Remorf's Lantern"
– Tue, Mar 09, 2021 at 02:15:55 PM
Hello backers,
I'm Jacob, and here's our daily reveal for SINS: Spawn of Minions...
Today, we're unlocking the second Sloth, Remorf's Lantern, and another of my favorites. It's one of Darryl's first artworks for SINS, and I think he has captured the essence of Sloth so elegantly in this piece.
If you missed the interview between Darryl and Louise, I would encourage you to see it and get a look behind the scenes when Darryl talks about his process and inspiration for creating the artwork for SINS.
Sloth, as we've talked about through these updates, is a strategy about defense or denial. Building your deck with Sloth cards will surely disrupt and annoy your opponents. This is one of the core things about SINS, the seven deadly strategies, gameplay for every type of gamer.
Remorf is an old soul, an Eternal in the realms of SINS. The Eternals are high priests and gain their powers from the many followers they enlist throughout their journey to unlock their powers, praying, worshipping their chosen parasite.
When playing Remorf, you'll gain influence and power through the effects of others, harvesting your power when doing the least. Remorf is the embodiment of denial, as he will block any card that shares his space in the Realm. As you move Remorf around the Realm, you'll be able to disrupt your opponents, if placed correctly, anticipating their next card played.
Tomorrow we'll unlock the first of Lust.
Lust is a strong strategy of knowledge and insights. She's called Ailduin's Dominion, and we'll look into the Lust strategy, a strategy that'll allow us to look at cards that you usually aren't allowed to look at.
I can't wait for the next reveal and the entire entourage, as we've we'll roll out the entire red carpet for Pride, arriving next Tuesday.
